Recently Thomson Reuters has released Thomson Reuters EndNote® X4 for Windows. EndNote® X4 for Mac will follow shortly and is expected to be released at the beginning of September. With the possibility to search and import PDF’s and enhanced Cite While You Write™ technology EndNote X4 offers you more ease of use.

Import and search PDF’s

Create records from PDF files easily. EndNote extracts bibliografic data and attaches the PDF to the record.

Compatibility with MS Word 2010 and Windows 7

EndNote X4 is compatible with the following word processors and text formats:

The Cite While You Write feature is compatible with: Microsoft Word® 2003, 2007, 2010, OpenOffice.org Writer 3.
The ‘Format Paper’ feature is compatible with Microsoft Word, WordPerfect and other word processors which are able to store or export files in Rich Text Format (RTF).

This new version is compatible with Windows 7, Vista(32/64 bits) and XP(sp3).

(EndNote X3 is not compatible with MS Word 2010 and Windows 7).
